New Meaning For Reading The Classics!

by Lee on March 1, 2009

A friend’s favorite quote, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel…read only one page,” reminds me of traveling Europe and visiting places of historical note with someone who really knows the history.  To follow the analogy, it is a lot like reading the classics.  Many folks know the stories, but few read the books.

The best trips are the ones where you take a history buff with you or you’re blessed with a guide that knows their stuff.  Going without someone like that is like going to see the movie without ever reading the book.
