The Evolution Of Quotes

by Lee on March 16, 2007

We had great fun with this last night at work. I wrote to Geico about it and suggested they consider adding it to their campaign.

We practically had to drag our boss out of his office to get him onto the operations floor for training on procedures he’s supposed to know how to do. We finally get him out there and trying to protest he had a lot of management stuff to do, he asked how long this was going to take. And one of my coworkers quipped,

Don’t worry, it’s so easy a Cave Manager can do it.

We all (with the exception of our boss) just about lost it. The campaign is great and while I look forward to seeing some new commercial “episodes,” The Washington Times reports ABC has green lighted a television comedy series using the characters.

I find it interesting how quotes can evolve through humor. And how a simple idea for an ad campaign can create a lot of jobs.
